Meet & Greet on Capitol Steps in Washington D.C.
Students in Prof. Rebecca Purdom's "Topics at the U.S. Supreme Court" course traveled to Washington D.C. March 22-24, 2009 to hear oral arguments at the court. On the last day of the trip, the class had a surprise meeting with all three members of Vermont's congressional delegation. The trio spoke with students and answered questions. Pictured with the class outside the Capitol building are U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy (D - VT), U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I - VT) and Representative Peter Welch (D - VT).
